Recycle Now, is pleased to announce the Recycle Week 2019 theme. This year Recycle Week will run from 23rd to – 29th September and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever before!
Our inspiration
2019 is the year of the activist. We’ve seen this through protests and marches from Extinction Rebellion to Our Planet, Greta Thunberg to Sir David Attenborough – environmental concerns have never been so front of mind for the nation. We want to capitalise on this as it’s a golden opportunity for us to inspire and support citizens to take action and make recycling the new norm. Recycle Week 2019 will be full of action asking people to rinse, crush, squash, sort and separate. In the bathroom, the kitchen, the office and the great outdoors. Getting them to do something powerful and radical that will really make a difference.
Recycle Week theme
2018 was the year that Britain woke up to recycling. 2019 is the year we’re taking action.
‘Recycling. It’s in our own hands’
Craig Stephens, Recycle Now Campaign Manager, explained: “We’re really excited about this year’s theme and how it will involve everyone taking action to make a difference. We’re looking forward to getting all of our partners involved to help spread the word and make this Recycle Week the biggest and best ever”!
The partner pack is now live on the Resource Library. The pack contains further information on the visual identity and lots of ideas about how partners can get involved. Recycle Now will be producing a range of communications assets alongside its direct to citizen activities so that partners can really get involved and support the week! Look out for more information on this to follow.
