Geothermal International (GI) has announced the North American roll out of its new worldwide corporate identity: ‘GI Energy’. The rebrand recognises the multinational growth of the company into the European and North American markets, as well as the expansion of services beyond its traditional role of design-build geothermal contracting.
Since its inception in 2000, GI Energy has grown to a leading position in the UK, with a market share in geothermal commercial systems in excess of fifty percent. This growth in geothermal contracting has been followed by an expansion to a full suite of geothermal services, including engineering, installation, equipment supply, maintenance, and third-party financing.
The acquisition of Chicago-based Endurant Energy LLC in 2011 saw the company branch into development, construction and management of commercial cogeneration projects in North America. Subsequently, a strategic alliance with Indiana-based WaterFurnace International in 2012 augmented the company’s technology base in heat pumps.
GI Energy’s UK Chairman Mike Fellowes says it is now time to adopt a more streamlined and consistent look and feel across the GI Energy Group. “Our customers have historically known GI as a reliable, trusted provider of geothermal services. Our other enterprises, such as Endurant Energy, have the same trust and respect in the marketplace, so we believe a group-wide approach to our identity will provide cohesion and enhance brand awareness,” he explains.
