Pat Rabbitte TD, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, will open the Marine Renewables Industry Association’s annual Ocean Energy Industry Forum on Friday, February 10TH, the first occasion on which he has addressed an ocean energy gathering. The second session of the Forum will be opened by David Thomson, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in Northern Ireland, where significant progress to launch the industry is being made
The theme of this year’s Forum is ‘Putting our Marine Renewables Resource to Work’. The first session will focus on how technology is progressing in this field and the second session will concentrate on vital background policy issues. The agenda is being finalised and will be circulated soon.
The Forum will be held in the Alexander Hotel, Dublin on Friday, 10 February 09.00 to 14.00 inclusive of a light lunch. Admission is free but, of course, the Association reserves the right to refuse admission. For further information e-mail chairman@mria.ie.
