Chevron Training, the energy and environmental training provider, has received the ‘Green Business of Year Award’ at the third annual Wexford Business Awards. The company had already won the ‘Wexford Business of the Year Award 2010’.

The latest award, which was sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), acknowledges the Wexford business in the environmental and green sectors of the economy which demonstrate ongoing clear green credentials.

Chevron Training was established in 2005 to satisfy the mandatory training requirement imposed within a number of sectors, namely the renewable energy, security and health and safety sectors.

Chevron Training has provided renewable energy training to more than 20,000 learners over the past four years. These accredited training courses have been successful in providing learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to avail of the vast employment and business opportunities which exist within the Irish renewable energy sector, both from an installation and consultancy perspective.
