Lita Lighting Relocates to Ireland and Plans Further Exansion

Lita Lighting, one of the world’s largest suppliers of LED lighting solutions, has announced the creation of up to 20 jobs in Dublin and plans to invest in a further 80-90 jobs at a manufacturing plant based in Cork, following the recent opening of its new headquarters in Finglas.

Lita Lighting designs, manufactures and distributes state-of-the-art, energy efficient and environmentally friendly LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting devices for the manufacturing, retail, industrial, commercial, street lighting, hospitality and service industries. LED Lighting uses up to 90% less energy than an incandescent lamp, can last 50 times longer, is light weight, impact resistant and does not contain any dangerous or hazardous material such as mercury or sodium.

Since May, Lita Lighting has opened new offices in Florida, Budapest and Hamburg, and plans to open new offices in Asia. This year the company has already established 26 sample sites in educational, warehousing, industrial and retail facilities throughout Ireland.

“We will be recruiting additional staff in R&D, logistics, quality control and sales & marketing. In addition, we want to utilise Ireland’s highly skilled manufacturing workforce to produce a volume commercial LED light here in Ireland,” explains Irish entrepreneur Sean Carty, who acquired Lita Lighting in a multi-million euro deal this year. “We anticipate that 90% of these will be exported across Europe.”

Lita Lighting has sales of Eur5-7 million in Europe and has moved its headquarters from its former base in Madrid to Dublin, to position itself as an industry leader and to highlight the huge energy savings associated with LED Lighting to Irish and international businesses.
