Green Business Seminar to help Tipperary businesses to save money

Companies from the Tipperary area are encouraged to attend a free Sustainable Business Seminar on May 26th in Horse and Jockey. The morning seminar begins at 9.30 in the Horse and Jockey Hotel and will continue until lunchtime.

Tipperary Green Business Network in association with Tipperary Energy Agency is holding a seminar entitled “Ireland’s Energy Challenge – Community Solutions”. The seminar is organised by the Tipperary Green Business Network and the Green Business programme which is a free resource that helps businesses save money by reducing their energy and water usage.

The informative seminar will explore and examine topics such as energy efficient technologies for SMEs, how an environmental management system can give businesses of all sizes a commercial advantage over their competitors as well as why and how to reduce a business’ carbon footprint.

When asked why local business should attend, Sean O Farrell, Chairperson of the Tipperary Green Business Network said:

“This is a great opportunity for businesses in the Tipperary area of all sizes and types to hear from other businesses about what savings can be achieved if you are more efficient in your use of water and energy on site and in your waste management practices”.
