Dublin City Council’s Local Enterprise Office (LEO) has announced that Sonitus Systems are the winners of Denis Colleran Award 2015. The award celebrates the achievements of small businesses in Dublin city.
Sonitus Systems is based in Trinity College Dublin’s Technology and Enterprise Campus and provides noise monitoring devices which can be managed remotely through the Cloud. It has clients in a range of sectors around the world including local government, mining and construction regulation.
Sonitus Systems will represent Dublin city at the National Enterprise Awards which will be held in Kilmainham on Thursday 11th June, 2015.
Dublin’s Lord Mayor Christy Burke presented the award to Paul McDonald, Sonitus Systems’ Managing Director at the Mansion House, Dawson Street on Thursday 7th May. He was joined by LEO’s Head of Enterprise Greg Swift and members of the Denis Colleran Award judging panel Peter Sheridan (Enterprise Ireland), Patricia Lynch (Price Waterhouse Cooper) and Pat Lynch (former Head of the Dublin City Enterprise Board).
Lord Mayor Burke said: “Sonitus Systems is an example of a Dublin-based company that has used Cloud-based applications to put its business on a global footing. It’s an honour to recognise the achievements of the staff of this innovative company by presenting them with the Denis Colleran Award and I wish them the very best at the National Enterprise Awards.”
