Ice Water Triumphs at Green Awards

Ice Water, Ireland’s leading provider of premium filtered water, has been announced as the winner of the ‘Sustainable Water Achievement Award’ at the Annual Green Awards, which took place on February 25th in Dublin. This prestigious award recognises Ice Water for its innovative use of technology to replace bottled water with premium filtered solutions which reduces the impact of single use plastics.

The company was shortlisted alongside some of the leading names in Irish business and with only five employees, Ice Water was the smallest company to be shortlisted in the overall awards.

Since 2016, Ice Water has significantly reduced the impact of single use plastics. Recent figures show that the Ice Water installations and bottle filling stations have resulted in a reduction in excess of 15 million plastic bottles coming into the Irish market in 2019 alone.

Peter Wynne, CEO of Ice Water said: “Ice Water is very proud to have collected the ‘Sustainable Water Achievement’ award at this year’s Green Awards. As a small company, it is a hugely significant achievement for Ice Water to be recognised on a national scale for our commitment to sustainability. It is also an acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication of our team.”

Ice Water, a member of the well-respected Euro Refrigeration Group, has been operating for the past four years and has installations in some of Ireland’s leading corporates and European headquartered offices. The installations have the potential to save businesses in excess of tens of thousands of euro annually by replacing bottled water premium-filtered solutions and have been adopted by Twitter, Air BnB, PwC and Survey Monkey among others.
