enet, Ireland’s largest wholesale network operator, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification. Demonstrating its commitment to being at the forefront of best practice in the telecommunications sector, enet is among the first companies in the industry to achieve this certification.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification was achieved as a result of the development of an automated online portal that streamlines order provisioning for its customers. The portal aggregates enet’s own extensive national fibre network, as well as third party infrastructure, to present a unique network offering to the market. Retail service providers can now log on to see where there are broadband connections, who is providing the connection, as well as the price of connectivity.
Speaking about the ISO 9001:2015 achievement, enet CEO Bartley McElroy said, “We are delighted to have achieved the certification as it underlines the culture of continuous improvement here at enet. The award should highlight that we are very much focused on customer satisfaction.”
Mr. McElroy went on to say, “The portal which underpins the accreditation enables all retail service providers with access to the same high-quality fibre footprint through one simple integration with enet; and this in turn allows them to utilise enet as a one stop shop for all their wholesale network requirements.”
The ISO 9001:2015 standard, created by the International Organisation for Standardisation, specifies a set of requirements for the creation and implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
