Energia is the fastest growing energy supplier for the second year running, according to new figures released by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU).
The CRU report looks at the number of households switching supplier in Ireland’s home energy market. For the second year in-a-row the CRU has found that Energia is the fastest growing home energy supplier. In 2016 a net 32,000 households switched to Energia and from January to September 2017 over 26,700 households moved to Energia.
Energia has consistently had the cheapest dual fuel bundle in 2017. Energia’s dual fuel bundle provides householders with discounts of up to 29% off their energy bills.
To date, through the Energia Cosy Homes Scheme, over 11,000 efficiency upgrades have been supported in homes across Ireland. These projects have resulted in annual saving of over €2 million on energy bills in these homes.
Energia’s Cosy Homes Scheme provides a one-stop-shop for home energy efficiency upgrades, from the initial audit to managing grant applications and carrying out all the works in partnership with House2Home. These services are available to both new and existing Energia customers.
Householders can make substantial savings on these services, through a combination of SEAI grant funding and Energia customer discounts. Energia can provide attic insulation, for example at a saving of €500 on the recommended retail price.
Geoff Codd, Head of Marketing at Energia said: “Energia has consistently been the cheapest Dual Fuel and electricity provider in Ireland’s home energy market. That’s why we continue to be the fastest growing home energy provider and the choice for clever Irish consumers.”
“These clever householders are also making huge extra savings with the Energia Cosy Homes Scheme. We are providing grants for new and existing Energia customers to help get them ready for winter. To date it has saved Irish households over €2 million on their energy bills.”
