On 20 May, one Polish and two Danish companies received recognition for having completed a verification process of their innovative environmental technologies at the Eco-Innovation forum being held in Barcelona. The “EU Environmental Technology Verification (ETV)” pilot programme, run by the European Commission, offers an independent procedure to assess the performance of new, potentially breakthrough technologies. The JRC provides the scientific and technical support to the programme, which can help innovators gain a foothold on the market.
