Biogas production – using biological waste from communities, industry or agriculture

Agraferm Technologies AG exhibits its complete processing range for a wide variety of feedstock at the UK AD & Biogas 2014

Pfaffenhofen, 18th June 2014. Agraferm Technologies AG will exhibit at this year’s ADBA 2014 in Birmingham from 2nd to 3rd July 2014, in hall 3, stand no. G005. There they will present their full range of expertise and experience in the production of biogas from renewable raw materials as well as community or industrial waste with a high content of unsuitable waste components. BTA International GmbH, a subsidiary of Agraferm, will present its standardised process for the production of biogas from community or industrial waste. Bio energy plants built by the group process 1.4 million tonnes of waste and produce around 120 million m3 of biogas per year, worldwide.

In Great Britain alone agricultural Agraferm plants produce 85 million m3 of biogas per year. “With over ten biogas and biomethane plants in the UK we are one of the market leaders. Further projects are in the pipeline,” said Eike Liekweg, Director at Agraferm Technologies AG.

At this year’s ADBA in Birmingham Agraferm will present a wide range of processes for its AD plants, which are currently in use in its UK plants and specially designed for the needs of the market. Among them will be a heavy-duty digester for slurry from ethanol production with an integrated water cleansing system. Agraferm AD plants are characterised by their compact structure. However, despite their space saving design the technology inside allows for a wide variety of feedstock mixes and ensures a maximum digestion performance due to their high capacity operation capability.
