Repak announces new chairman

The Board of Repak has announced that Mr Tony Keohane has been elected as its new Chairman.

Tony is Chairman of Tesco Ireland and has spent his career in the Irish retail industry. He started his career with Quinnsworth and progressed to become Chief Executive of Tesco Ireland in 2006, until his appointment as Chairman of the company in July this year.

Tony has a strong relationship with the Irish food processing sector. He also has had responsibility for environmental matters including waste recycling, energy initiatives and the opening of the retailer’s first eco-store in Tramore and first zero carbon store in Cabra.

An alumnus of INSEAD, Tony has served as Chairman of the Government’s Services Strategy Review Group and currently holds various other non-executive roles including the Commercial Unit of TCD.

With his extensive experience, along with his reputation for strong governance and effective cost control, Tony is well qualified to take on a leadership role with Repak.
