Donal O’Brien, Chief Executive of Aramark Ireland, comments: “We have consistently grown revenue and operating profits over the past three years, consolidating our position as the leading company in our sector. In 2012 our experience in the multinational sector was pivotal in our winning multi-country contracts resulting in strong growth in the UK and Europe.”
In the domestic market, gross margin fell slightly, from 16.9% to 16.3% due to the depressed economic climate and competitive pressures. However this has been offset by prudent cost control.
He adds: “In particular, our Energy and Environmental Services division is growing very strongly and we anticipate continued growth in our ‘green business’ as the EU transitions to a competitive low-carbon economy, leading to the creation of an additional jobs over the next twelve – eighteen months.”
