Dr Alan Belward from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Italy will provide an evening lecture on the power and potential of earth observation from space as part of the EPA’s Climate Change Lecture Series. The lecture will be held in the Mansion House on Tuesday 20th November at 18:30.
Global challenges require global information and analyses and from space a suite of satellites, developed by the European Space Agency, NASA and other space agencies are providing a unique picture of a changing planet. Satellites are at the forefront of fulfilling today’s information needs to support actions on the key challenges we face in climate change, land degradation, biodiversity loss and wider environmental change.
