BOSTON, US and DUBLIN, Ireland, February 21, 2012—PM Group, Ireland’s largest engineering and project management firm, today announced that it is expanding its Boston office and recruiting specialist engineers and designers. The Boston base is a core element of PM Group’s global development strategy and brings the Group closer to the home base of many of its key longtime clients.
Commenting on the US initiatives, Dave Murphy, PM Group CEO, said, “This is an exciting development for PM Group and for our operation in the US. It is a core part of our business strategy and builds upon the acquisition of PM Greene Engineers in San Jose 18 months ago which demonstrates our commitment to serving our US headquartered multinational clients both in the US and overseas.”
“The expansion of our office in Boston will enable us to provide even greater services for our US clients. They will benefit by working with an organisation with a global footprint who can work on their projects in the US and help them to deliver facilities across the world with the full support of our office network,” said Liam Foley, President, PM Group USA.
The expansion will see PM Group move to new offices which will facilitate growth to 50 employees. The new office is located adjacent to Route 128, Boston’s technology highway, and is strategically located at the heart of the Company’s client base.
The Taoiseach Enda Kenny said “the welcome expansion of the PM Group in Boston is contributing to the development of deeper and stronger ties between the United Stated and Ireland. It builds upon the success of exporting Irish companies that employ nearly 82,000 Americans across all 50 states. It is testament to the ability of Irish companies, such as PM Group, to compete on the world stage. The Government through its Action Plan on Jobs wants more Irish companies to emulate its success and to make Ireland the best small country in which to do business by 2016.”
Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, PM Group delivers complex, mission-critical facilities for the advanced technology, life sciences, R&D and healthcare sectors globally for Fortune 500 clients. The company has annual revenues of US$280 million and employs more than 1,600 people working in 25 countries.
