The Environment & Green Technologies Department held two information meetings for environmental consultants in October 2011.
These meetings were designed to provide detailed information on Enterprise Ireland’s Green Offer which includes financial support for client companies to:
- Undertake feasibility studies into making improvements to products or processes to reduce their environmental impact
- Implement environmental standards
- Apply for Eco-labels
- Undertake feasibility studies into carbon management/reduction strategies and projects
Up to forty companies attended the events where there were presentations by Declan White on Sustainable Practices in Business. – Building Company Competitiveness Through Best Practice – How Enterprise Ireland’s Green Offer [ 292kB] can help and Robert Geraghty on Compliance in the Food Sector [ 749kB] which provided data on where there are issues to be addressed and opportunities for consultants to provide support.
The events were very useful in networking to share experiences and give The Environment & Green Technologies Department of Enterprise Ireland a better indication of what services companies were offering and how this could be integrated closer with the services Enterprise Ireland is providing.
Meetings will be provided in the regions in the New Year to meet with consultancy firms based outside Dublin.
