Calor has introduced a new One-Stop-Shop service designed to encourage homeowners to make the switch from oil to cleaner, more energy efficient, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). There are over 600,000 homes in rural Ireland that cannot access the natural gas network. By choosing Calor Gas, rural dwellers can have gas delivered to a bulk storage tank at their home. The tank can now even be placed underground as required. This means that rural homeowners can have gas regardless of where they live.
In the past, switching heating system was a difficult process. This new easy switching service means that with just one phone call to 1850 812 450, Calor will organise every step from site survey, to safe removal and disposal of the existing oil tank and boiler, to installation and testing of the new Calor system. This service is designed to make it as stress-free as possible for the homeowner.
Michael Kossack, chief executive of Calor, says: “We are introducing this new One-Stop-Shop switching service which, when combined with our existing Home Energy Grant worth up to €1,000, we hope will incentivise homeowners to make the switch to cleaner, more efficient Calor Gas. There has never been a better time to switch to Calor Gas.”
Calor’s Home Energy Grant is designed to run in parallel with the Government’s Better Energy retrofitting programme launched in April of this year.
