Eco Appz has been shortlisted as a finalist for the inaugural SEAI Innovation Award at this year’s Energy Show, which is being staged on March 30th and 31st at the RDS, Dublin. The first app to have been released by the start up company is Eco Bulbz, an innovative software application which shows how much money would be saved when light bulbs are replaced has been launched to coincide with the Energy Show.
The easiest way to reduce energy is to reduce the wattage of your existing light bulbs and fittings. The applications work on the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad1 and iPad2. Whether a full room by room survey is required or just a quick calculation is to be carried out on a quantity of bulbs of the same wattage to see how much would be saved when normal incandescent bulbs are replaced by energy saving bulbs, there is a version of the app to suit.
