Calor, Ireland’s leading supplier of LPG, has launched a new integrated marketing campaign aimed at encouraging rural homeowners to switch to Calor Gas. The Calor ‘Now You Can’ campaign consists of a major redesign of the Calor brand coupled with an integrated national TV, radio, press, online, social media and public relations campaign. The campaign promotes the many benefits that Calor LPG has to offer in rural areas.
“Following research undertaken on the Calor brand, we found that the brand was in good standing, and trusted in Ireland. When we spoke to customers that had recently made the switch to Calor we found that they spoke of us in terms of the expertise of our people and the cleaner, energy efficient LPG solutions that we provide. So people and solutions is the theme of our new campaign. The ‘Now You Can’ campaign is a major shift in marketing focus for Calor,” explains Oliver Kenny, marketing manager of Calor.
The new TV advert features a Calor delivery driver ‘out on the road’ bringing a new heating solution to a rural householder. It aims to inform rural householders that they can have gas delivered to a tank in their garden and this tank can even be installed underground.
The campaign consists of one 40 second and two 10 second TV ads. Calor plans to bring the new brand and campaign to the rural community across Ireland in 2011 with an extensive programme of events that includes the Tullamore Show and the National Ploughing Championships. The new campaign has a value in excess of €1.5 million.
