Ibec, the group that represents Irish business, today said it is vital that the planned independent review of the Grid Link and Grid West projects provides clear recommendations as to how to proceed, so vital energy infrastructure is not further delayed.
Ibec’s Head of Energy and Environment Policy Dr Neil Walker said: “Infrastructure investment is urgently needed to maintain a secure, clean energy supply across the country. This is vital to future economic growth and development. To avoid confusion and conflicting interpretations, it is important that the findings of the Review set out in very clear terms how best to proceed. Protracted, unwarranted delays must be avoided.”
