The French Embassy in Dublin has accepted delivery of its new 100pc electric vehicle, the Renault Kangoo ZE, in time for a bonne Bastille Day.
The embassy will use the vehicle on a daily basis for all sorts of journeys, such as transporting visiting guests.
“The Embassy of France in Ireland is proud to announce its investment in a new electric commercial vehicle, contributing significantly to the objective of the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs to become a model department in terms of energy efficiency and the fight against greenhouse gas emissions,” said Madame Emmanuelle d’Achon, French ambassador to Ireland.
“We are also proud of the fact that this vehicle is made by Renault, a French company at the forefront of green technology innovation, which has a strong presence in Ireland,” she added.
Renault is the only car manufacturer to introduce a range of 100pc electric vehicles, which include the Kangoo ZE mini-van, Fluence ZE saloon, Twizy urban quadricycle and ZOE hatchback.
