40 jobs for Carrigaline as SIRO rollout continues

Carrigaline, Cork, was today named as the first SIRO-powered town in Munster, with the rollout creating 40 fixed-term jobs as a result of the works.

The SIRO rollout has already begun in Carrigaline, and the contract for work on the 100pc fibre network has been awarded to TLI Group, a Kerry-based infrastructural consultancy and construction company.

In order to carry out the necessary works in Carrigaline, TLI Group has created 40 six-month jobs.

Speaking at the announcement, made today at Carragaline Court Hotel, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney, TD, said “Not only will this development help attract investment, boost competitivenes and encourage entrepreneurs to set up online busiess, it will also create 40 jobs in Cork during the rollout phase”.
