Nualight and OxyMem shortlisted for UK's energy awards

Irish companies Nualight and Oxymem have been shortlisted for the UK’s Energy Awards 2014.

Nualight’s Titan LED car-park lighting solution has been shortlisted in the Energy Efficient Product of the Year Lighting category, while OxyMem is a finalist in the Energy Efficient Technology of the Year category for its wastewater aeration process.

The awards, which aim to reward the achievements of companies cutting emissions and leading the way in intelligent energy use, will be handed out an event in the London Hilton, Park Lane on 2 December 2014.

Nualight Group CEO Shaun Gray said the listing was welcome recognition for Titan’s innovative design and the company’s drive to create a new dedicated car-park lighting portfolio.

“Titan has been designed for underground and multi-story 24 hour parking locations for operators who value uniformity, brightness and future proofing of their lighting investments,” he said. “Leveraging the latest developments in LED technology and the in-house manufactured Lumotech LED drivers, the product is reliable, vandal proof and water proof. We have designed DALI control into the fixture, making intelligent control of car park lighting easy to execute and affordable.”

“Everyone at OxyMem is incredibly proud to be nominated for this award,” said Wayne Byrne, managing director of OxyMem. “Being nominated by our peers in the UK suggests that we are truly recognised as an innovative solution for the wastewater treatment market both home and abroad.”

OxyMem has also been nominated in the Tech Startup of the Year and Innovative Startup of the Year categories in the Bank of Ireland Startup Awards, with the winners set to be announced on 23 October.
