Quality, Environment and Health and Safety Increasing in Importance in Civils Sector

More companies from the civil engineering and recycling sectors are achieving certification to internationally recognised quality, environmental and health and safety standards, according to Certification International. Since the beginning of the year Certification International, which provides assessment, analysis and certification services to companies of all sizes across a variety of standards, has seen increased demand for the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. It has recently certified companies such as MJ Church, Powerday Plc, Britaniacrest Waste Recycling and Waverley Group to some or all of the internationally recognised standards.

ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 are three compatible standards which organisations can integrate into their business to achieve efficiency in their quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, enabling them to offer high quality services that are safe and great for the environment.

Certification to environmental standards is particularly growing in popularity. Since 2008, the number of certificates issued for ISO 14001:2004 for environmental management has increased by 300% due to the increased importance of meeting corporate social responsibility requirements.

Certification International is a UKAS accredited organisation with more than 5,000 clients in 26 countries. It provides assessment, analysis and certification services to companies of all sizes across a wide range of standards.
